Ian Mckellen Received COVID-19 vaccine: Ian McKlellan said he was “overwhelmed” after receiving the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine on Wednesday.

The famous British actor who starred in the film “The Lord of the Rings” and the “X-Men” franchise received the injection at Queen Mary University in East London.

“I am very lucky to have received the vaccine,” he said in a tweet on Thursday. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. “
Mckellen, 61, formed the first “eligible team” for the vaccine, which is being sent to people over the age of 60, health workers, and care home residents, NHS England said in a press release.

Ian McClellan spoke with Dr. Phil Bennett-Richards shortly after receiving the first dose of the Quand-19 vaccine.
NHS England added that the vaccination campaign, now in its second week, described it as “perhaps the biggest advance since the epidemic began, saving thousands of lives.”

Earlier this month, the UK became the first Western country to approve the first Covid-19 vaccine after regulators gave emergency approval for the Pfizer / Biotech vaccine.

After receiving the job, McClellan was quoted in a press release as saying: “I am proud to have received the Covid-19 vaccine and I would urge anyone who is being offered this vaccine to take it – it took a few minutes and then it was done.

“I really hope that with more people being vaccinated we are moving forward on a more normal way of life, especially for the artists who have suffered so much this year.
“We all have a role to play in the fight against coronavirus and doing something and getting vaccinated will save lives.”

The vaccine comes in two doses at least 21 days apart. “It works by teaching you how to protect yourself from attack,” NHS England said.
Dr Nikki Kanani, medical director of NHS England for first aid, said: “The NHS has made a great start in launching the Covid-19 vaccine across the country, with dozens of hospitals and now hundreds of local immunization services providing the most needed vaccines.”
